Ongoing Waste Collection, Segregation And Recycling
Lswp Properties Ltd was appointed to organise and oversee a new commercial waste management arrangement for a group of sites operated by the same client. The brief was to reduce general waste, increase recycling and provide clearer reporting, without disrupting day-to-day operations. We reviewed existing practices, container locations and collection frequencies, then introduced a new system using clearly labelled bins and skips for cardboard, plastics, metals, wood and residual waste. Collection rounds were consolidated to suit each site, cutting unnecessary vehicle movements and helping staff understand how and where to dispose of materials correctly.
We coordinated licensed waste carriers, obtained duty of care documentation and agreed simple procedures for reporting contamination or capacity issues. Regular checks and updates ensure the system continues to match seasonal changes and variations in activity. The client now benefits from tidier service yards, fewer overflowing bins and improved recycling rates, along with clearer cost visibility across their portfolio. This contract approach can be adapted for construction projects, industrial sites and multi-tenant premises where reliable, compliant waste handling is essential.
